Safty Instructions  
 
1. The visits of the greenhouses within the framework of guided tours take place on a voluntary basis, at one’s own peril, at one’s own risk. The Federal Gardens are not taking over any liabilities for personal damage and material damage, which might occur in the course of the guided tour. The mandatory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act remain unaffected herby.
 
2. The guided tour may only be attended by persons who are in a good physical condition. The guided tour must not be attended by persons who suffer from an allergy (plants) which could endanger themselves or other persons in the course of the guided tour on the wet, slippery, and cramped premises.
 
3. It is unexceptionally prohibited to touch plants and/or to crack parts of plants.
 
4. In the course of the guided tour one has to exercise extreme caution and always follow the instructions of the staff members or the persons entrusted with the guided tour.
 
5. The fixed path, as well as the guided group, must not be left.
One must not climb over barriers and/or remove them.
 
6. In the greenhouse there is, due to wetness and possible mud, danger of skidding. It is recommended to wear sturdy shoes with non-skid soles.
 
7. In the greenhouses there is the risk that the clothes might get dirty. The Federal Gardens do not take over any costs for dirty or damaged clothes.
 
8. The Federal Gardens do not take over any liability for damage, dirtying, or loss of objects brought along (bags, their content, photo equipment, etc.).
 
9. Smoking or handling of open fire is strictly forbidden.
 
10. The use of cameras and flash has to be agreed with the persons in charge.
 
11. For minors there is a special duty of supervision on the part of the accompanying persons in charge, which have to stay always in direct contact with them. It is strictly prohibited that minors are freely running around.
 
12. In principle the tour takes place irrespectively of the weather. However, the Federal Gardens reserve, with a view to a storm warning by the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics, the right to cancel the guided tour on short notice or even to discontinue it after its start due to broken glass.
